In Barbadelo - 2018

On this slow Camino, we only walked to Barbadelo on the first day.
It was fun seeing the cows being herded through the village next morning!

Toda I Saw a Hoopoe Bird!

I took a walk in Barbadelo and saw a beautiful flash of color along the fence line. It was two gorgeous crested birds. One was pecking the ground for bugs and feeding the other. I came back to the Internet and looked it up and it is a Hoopoe Bird!  I found these photos

To Barbadelo 2018

Today was the first day walking our Slow Camino with my two new Peregrinas and they did GREAT!

Sarria Slow Camino 2018

Once my other group reached Santiago, I did a turn around and took two pilgrims on a SLOW Camino.

Today we took a taxi to Sarria to begin our Slow Camino. We will be walking half stages all the way to Santiago.

We poked around the village then had lunch at an awesome Italian restaurant called Matias Locanda Italiana. Diane had spaghetti and Carol and I tossed down the best lasagne I’ve ever eaten 

After eating we attended the Pilgrim Mass. 

It was very moving and church was gorgeous.
