How to use a bidet

There has been a bidet in almost every Hostal we have visited.

Since most Americans are unfamiliar with this contraption, I thought it would be good to post some instructions for its use.

The bidet is used to wash the genitals after using the toilet. Because of this fact, it's probably not a good place for washing any other body part, especially if there is a possibility of broken skin, and especially if you are not 100% sure the bidet has been properly sanitized.
