Via de la Plata it Is!

I've decided
I will continue with my plan to walk the VDLP.
I will go directly from Madrid to Zafra, skipping Sevilla, which I have seen before.

I've added a shell to my pack
It's lightweight!

I'm excited and ready to go!
Just 3 more sleeps

  1. Good on you Annie, stick to your guns :) I'm sure you'll be alright especially by-passing Seville.

  2. Good on you! I think we should have a backpack decorating party next year before our pilgrimage. What do you think?

I'll be with you in spirit..

  3. Thanks folks!

Patty, sounds like fun. But I'm running out of room! 😛

    1. Well, my pack will be a blank slate! =)

  4. Good on you. Seize the day!

  5. I walked the Camino Portugese in 2004 with my daugher and son, then aged 14 and sixteen respectively. It was an incredible privilege to spend this time with them, when they may have preferred teenage company !
Since then many bad things have happened, but the memory of that time brings solace. They now are independent young adults and I, well just older. I doubt we will share a similar experience again, but I yearn for the feelings of that Camino. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a wonderful time. I am with you in spirit.
