Some Prices

So far it has been quite easy to stay on my 25 euro per day food budget. Here are some prices in case you are a planner.

Tarjeta Dorada - 6 euros at Renfe

Circanius airport to Atocha - 1,50

Lunch:  orange, Nestea  3,00

Dinner:  Tuna pincho and beer 3,00

Breakfast in Madrid:  coffee, chocolate pastry, calamari bocadillo. (YUM!) 5,50

Lunch in Tres Cantos - boxed salad from Dia market, cashews. 5,00

Dinner in Colmenar Vieja - Donar kabab and Nestea, 4,50

Donar Kabab Mmmmmmmmmm!

Hostal Gran Chiscon. 60,00 for a double

We are both exhausted now. We had nice long hot baths and are headed for bed.

Goodnight pilgrims.

  1. Correct me if I added wrong, but looks like you spent 88,50€ for one day (including food and lodging and transportation). Hmm...only you split the lodging? Or did you split the entire amount? Just seems like a lot if not split.

    1. We split the room cost. The first 4-5 days on the Camino Madrid are quite sprndy as there are no albergues and it is a high end tourist area.
